Doug Lindstrom has been my agent on 3 transactions – so I know his style and professionalism. There are 3 qualities that come to mind when I think of Doug as my Real Estate Agent. The first is Integrity. I can’t find another agent with the level of honesty as an individual and dedication as a professional. Doug never hesitated to share with me the good, the bad and the ugly. You ask him a question, he’ll give you a straight answer as if he were the one purchasing/selling for himself. His “tell it like it is” personality gave me great confidence in making informed and eventually the right decisions. Talk about fulfilling his fiduciary responsibilities to me! I truly felt he looked out for my interest first.
The second quality is his knowledge in real estate, in business, and (the extra bonus) in construction (being a contractor in his previous profession). Every realtor has the basic “check the box” attributes to sell/buy a home. Doug’s “value-added” attribute is that he can spot items in a house that the average homebuyer won’t pick up on – specifically regarding quality of construction of the home and general wear-and-tear items. Talk about an added bonus! Again, it’s something that most agents can’t provide.
And finally, the third quality is his Attention to Detail. During each transaction, I never once asked him to do things twice. Consider things done on time and done with thoroughness. In fact, things got done before me ever knowing! He knows his stuff; He is a person of action.

Doug exhibited such caring concern…What one typically views as only a business relationship began to incorporate the attributes of a respected and trusted friend. I am indeed grateful for the services of quality that he extended on our behalf. Throughout the process, Doug was diligent in updating us on developments and in responding to our calls and concerns. We never had the feeling that he had lost interest in our needs. There is no question, in our minds, that Doug is a professional who knows exactly what needs to be done to sell and purchase a home.

Being a single woman, I was reluctant to work with a male Realtor. A friend of mine had recently bought a home with the help of Doug Lindstrom. He came highly recommended by her so I was put at ease when it came time to sell my home.
From the very first meeting, I could tell that Doug was not going to take advantage of me being a naive, first time homeseller. He took the time to explain the current market and I was very impressed by his marketing plan. Doing my own research, he is an internet person and my property was easy to find.

This was my first time purchasing a home, so I didn’t know much abou the process. He was very helpful in explaining the whole process to me. He didn’t always tell me what I wanted to hear which was a good thing. He didn’t only point out the positive things, he pointed out negative things as well, which was helpful so I could look for other issues in other houses.
Once we found the house I wanted there were some issues that I wanted to get resolved before going further into the transaction. Doug made everything go smoothly and made it completely stress-free. He definitely left me a satisfied customer and I would recommend him to anyone.

Doug Lindstrom was my realtor-my agent-then my transactional broker. In what was perceived as a tough “sellers” market, he provided invaluable insight as to market conditions, marketing efforts and pricing points. His knowledge as to the area and homes were second to none. After signing with Doug, he followed through on marketing. His use of signage, brochures, the internet and his own hard effort was excellent.
After every showing, I would receive feedback. I have bought and sold a number of properties over the years and had never seen anything quite like this. It made you feel as if you more involved and opened upon the lines of communication. In the past, I often wondered what was happening and the only way I could find out was by calling. With Doug, his surveys and his calls keep you in the loop. If I had any questions, Doug was always available to talk until I was satisfied. Doug has bought and sold multiple homes for me!
I met Doug through a referral from my sister. Doug has been doing real estate for my parents, sister and niece. Our family had some complicated real estate issues that Doug handled beautifully. He has a gift for attention to detail and his follow up was spot on. Then, I decided to move from Castle Rock to Severance. I wanted one real estate person for the selling and purchasing of both homes. He got me a great price on both homes, and through out the process, sent emails of the construction of the new home, brokered on my behalf to protect my interests. Two years later, I am selling this home and of course Doug is my choice. He gave me great advice on listing, showing, and spent time discussing all my options so that I could make the best possible decision. There was not one hiccup in the process. I think this is because he was on top of the buyers real estate agent and he proactively anticipated issues I could expect to encounter. I love having zero surprises. He has a terrific knowledge of the market, as well as an excellent business mind. This is not a hobby for him. He is truly a professional and now someone I am happy to call my friend. If you every need someone, I highly recommend Doug Lindstrom. You will not be sorry. I will miss Doug as I move out of state.
Could not have done it with him!
The headline is not an exaggeration and not understated in any way. We literally could not have sold our house without Doug’s expertise.
We were selling a home that we bought directly from a builder. When we received a quick offer, we were thrilled. When the buyer completed the inspection, we were shocked to see such a long list of items that they wanted us to correct. Our home was just over 2 years old and still basically brand new. We panicked because we knew the builder’s warranty would most likely not cover any of the issues. Most of the items on the inspection we didn’t even know about and they didn’t show up on the original walk-through with the builder. The inspection made it sound like the house was about to come down on top of us. Doug took charge. He took pictures and measurements.
After that, he said to please give him a day or two to get back to us. As promised, he got back to us and told us 5 of the 7 items on the inspection list were already taken care of. We said “what”? He followed up with the city and the third party code enforcement company. 4 of the items on the inspection were signed off by the code enforcement company. The inspector saw items that looked out place but were in fact, repaired by the builder and ultimately signed off by the code enforcement company. One of the other items had to do with the furnace not being properly grounded. The home inspector said it was not but the city code confirmed that it was. Turns out, the home inspector was from Boulder and they have different requirements. Doug basically created a paper trail that documented the code enforcement inspections, failed inspection notices and code re-inspection dates that listed the items as completed appropriately. Not to mention other documents that showed the house could not have been occupied with being completed. The buyer and their agent had no choice but to accept our counter-proposal for the repair items because of the documentation that Doug was able to get from the city building department.
After all of this, we literally had to fix one item and do a little touch-up painting on another. If it wasn’t for Doug (we later learned he was previously a contractor), we most likely would have had to pay a structural engineer and a framing contractor to repair the items that were listed on the home inspection. We felt so much stress from that home inspection but within a days time, we were completely relieved. I’m not sure any other agent would have taken charge of the situation like Doug did. As I said, we could not have done it without him.

I’ve know Doug for several years. He has helped me sell two homes and also buy two homes. For my most recent sale, I had the opportunity to try Doug’s “no brainer listing program”. The program allows a seller to participate in the selling process, with the potential to save on commission costs. I was able to schedule and host all of my open houses. I had as many as I wanted and for whatever duration I chose. Doug supplied the signs and did all of the advertising. He also provided a Facebook ad so I could leverage social media to get the word out. Doug provided all of the necessary tools and support. The experience was very rewarding, and given the amount of time I invested, extremely worthwhile. I highly recommended it.
